I would like to know what is the best practice to generate item serian numbers that is user defined, auto generated or generate through api. what is the standard practice that any corporation does when serial numbers are created for OAT.

Try to set the cust_trx_type_id in the p_header_rec structure with the trx type id of the transaccion.

We are trying implement maintenance contracts using contract PO/REQUISITION/STD PO/RECEIPT/, import PO data into FA via mass additions/deprectiate, create invoice(after 3 months)/match to PO/payment….we are planning to use FA because we can modify chaage account values at any time. In this process flow there is no link between FA and Invoice, will that be a problem? The monthly prepaid calculation and entry will still need to be done with a custom program.

2. We want to use leases for payment side. In FA I notices lease details screen and amortization schedule. How this amortizations schedules works, what is process flow? Will lease assets of category lease depreciates?

I have a need for a very simple GL, Inventory, AR and AP extensions to our FarmIT software. We need to provide daily Closing Inventory, AR and AP aging reports and related entries into GL.

FarmIT is implemented using APEX 4.0. Can you recommend any?

Just found this website and thanks for your article. I have 2 questions. I need to enter new manual journal via SLA, not those correction of journals from legacy systems. And this journal requires to have reversal into next month, eg: accrual journals. I cannot see any reversal flag in the API CREATE_JOURNAL_ENTRY_HEADER or LINES. We are implementing FAH. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Many thanks.
